ADOLESCENT WORKSHOP ON MENTAL HEALTH IN TANZANIA

Members of the DASH research team were lucky enough to visit a local school, Salma Kikwete Secondary, during the January DASH Network meeting in Dar Es Salaam this year. THE MENTAL HEALTH CO-DESIGN WORKSHOP

The Africa Academy for Public Health (AAPH), in collaboration with the University of Dodoma, is taking the lead in spearheading the co-design of mental health interventions for adolescents and young people in Tanzania. A two-day workshop was organized in Chamwino, Dodoma region, with the first day focusing on 30 adolescents and young people aged 10 to 24.

DATA COLLECTION TRAINING

AAPH participated in the preparatory activities held at the Chamwino DSS site from 26th to 29th August 2024, which were led by the University of Dodoma. These activities played a key role in ensuring the success of the upcoming HDSS round. One of the primary tasks during this period was the revision of the ODK data collection tools.
