I am currently pursuing a dual degree in Clinical Pharmacy at Africa Medical College and Psychology at Addis Ababa University. My academic path reflects my deep commitment to improving health outcomes and fostering supportive environments where the next generation can thrive. By integrating insights from both pharmacy and psychology, I aim to contribute a comprehensive approach to public health—addressing both mental health and physical well-being through prevention, intervention, and long-term support.
My engagement in health and youth empowerment began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when I volunteered as a team leader in an online mentorship program for adolescents. Since then, I have worked as a private academic tutor for adolescents and elementary school students, strengthening my communication and mentoring skills.
In 2023, I completed a one-year volunteer term as Team Leader for the Youth Mental Health Team at Serve Global’s Community of Practice. I also serve as a class representative at my college, a role I have held consistently for the past three years. Volunteering with the ARISE Network Adolescents and Youth Advisory Board (AYAB) perfectly aligns with my academic background and long-term career goals in public health. It provides a valuable opportunity to bridge theory and practice, while developing essential skills for a sustainable and impactful career in healthcare.
